About: Maya Reis Gabeira is a Brazilian big wave surfer. She is most known for having surfed a 73.5ft high wave in Nazare, Portugal on February 11, 2020 recorded by Guinness World Records as the biggest wave ever surfed by a female surfer.


 Maya Gabeira sets and breaks her previous record of 68 feet in 2018.  On February 11, 2020, Maya Gabiera surfed  the Largest Wave ever Surfed by a Woman 73.5 ft at Nazare, Portugal breaking her previous Guiness World Record

On January 2018, Maya Gabeira surfed a 68 ft high wave in Nazare, Portugal, recorded by the Guiness World Records as the biggest wave surfed by a woman.

After an incident that almost took her life in the "skull breaker" reefs of Teahupoo in 2011, Maya Gabeira is back in Tahiti to conquer her fear and face an epic swell of giant waves.
